May 4, 2024:  The First Security Cotter Trout Festival, will be the 22nd Annual - Cotter Big Spring Park event on May 4th, 10am - 6 pm. There will be food vendors, arts and crafts, boat exhibits, AGFC Mobile Aquarium, Car Show, free Kids Fishing Derby, free Bounce Palace, and DJ Peace and live music. The parade will start at 10 a.m. with line-up starting in downtown Cotter at 2nd & Combs. The craft beer and wine garden will be open 11 am to 6 pm (controlled access only). There will be a duck race and a 4-wheeler raffle drawing. The Leslie Williams Band will perform from 10:45 to 12:45, Sarah Sample-The Natural Disasters will perform from 1:30 to 3:30pm, and The Flippin Cotter Band will perform from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Plans are still being finalized so stay tuned for updates.

May 25, 2024: The Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) event is May 25th at Cotter Big Spring Park. It will follow the Cotter Casting Challenge. There will be live music with "Now You Know" blues band playing from 4pm - 5:30. The movie will start at 6 pm. There will be food trucks and craft beer & wine (controlled access only). Save the date and watch for details.

May 25, 2024: The 3rd Annual Cotter Casting Challenge will be held on Saturday, May 25th, 2 pm at the Cotter Big Spring Park Baseball Field. The Editor of Flyfisherman Magazine, Ross Purnell, will make a presentation (time to be announced). This Cotter Casting Challenge (3XC) is a 2-person team event. Teams can register at Trout Unlimited Chapter 698. Entry Fee is $30. Click here to register and for more information. Prizes will be awarded (the prize list is subject to change):

There will also be a Balloon Pop event that spectators can enter ($5 for five casts).

A Fly Box with 10 dozen flies with a estimated value of $250 to $270 will be raffled off.

June 1, 2024: The 20th Annual Gassville in the Park Festival will be Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at the Gassville Park. Please save the date. The parade will start at 10 a.m. with cash prizes for floats and cars. The musical entertainment will be Leslie Williams Band at 11 a.m. and Kattie Laney Project at 2 pm. The festival will include food concessions, Radio Live Remote, Arts and Crafts Vendors, Car Show and Automotive Swap Meet, Antiques and collectible booths, kids activities and much more. June 8, 2024:  The Cotter Bridge Ultra is a unique twist on a 6 Hour, 12 Hour, 24 Hour Race. Runners start each hour and run 4.1667 miles every hour. For more information, click here.

Oct 5, 2024: BBQ Cook-Off Contest, live music, vendors, car show, playhouse, games, prizes and more at Big Spring Park in Cotter, 10am to 5 pm. Glow Walk at 7 pm.

BBQ Contestants needed. Judging category will be for pulled pork. Vendors needed too. Please email ozarksdownsyndromeawareness@gmail.com for applications. All proceeds will benefit Down Syndrome non-profits.

Nov 23, 2024: Race day is Saturday, November 23, 2024. This is a Boston Qualifier! Flat and fast course along the beautiful White River. Registration is limited to 750 participants. For more information, click here.
